How Much Should I CHARGE FOR BRAIDS???

I'm starting a hair braiding business. I think I'm under priced. I charge $20-25 for cornrow styles. If I'm under pricing my skill, how do I raise my price to current clients and/or people my clients refer to me?

How Much Should I CHARGE FOR BRAIDS???

Your prices should be determined by Style , Length and the Width of the Braids.

Good Luck , I hope your Business flourish...

How Much Should I CHARGE FOR BRAIDS???

Im not really sure about this but I know that if you make then to high people might not wanna come and find some where else to go. I know I would if it was to high. If they are lower and just as goodly done as anywhere else you might get better business. I thought you might like to know this just to keep it in mind.

Good luck I hope everything goes good for you.

How Much Should I CHARGE FOR BRAIDS???

$25 sounds good for a half head cornrow style. But if someone wants their entire head done and have medium to long hair I would charge at least 50 or 60. I got my hair braided and it was $65 for my whole head in little braids and I have long thick hair. Just dont raise them too high because your current clients might find somewhere else to go. Good luck!

i think another thing to look at when pricing hair is who is your customer? if you live in a small town, who will have the money to pay those prices... if you live in the city, but most of your customers are students and young people... they wont be able to afford high prices but they will come back a lot if you do a good job..... i think your prices are about right... i am from Atlanta and that's what i pay for non salon hair braiding.

Need some helpful hair tips, please?

My 2 yr. old sons hair is really curly and slightly corse, he has had it braided before but he takes the durag off at night! Any suggestions with what to do with it would be wonderful. Thanks in advance!

Need some helpful hair tips, please?

You should keep it mousturized with curl cream or this great product call hair milk by Carol's Daughter. They sell is at sephora and i will give a link to the website. Try to take small sections of his hair one at a time and twist them around your finger to create small and more controlled curls.

Cut it really short

Need some helpful hair tips, please?

You could cut it short so he can't mess with it, at least until he's older.

Need some helpful hair tips, please?

keep his hair short. and massage his head with goo hair oil once in a week.

Need some helpful hair tips, please?

Try to make sure to keep your son's hair well mosturized, but not overly so. Adding a light product every couple days should work. Keeping it shorter for the time being might help as well. It makes it a little more manageable for you, and maybe when he's a little older he won't take off the durag at night. Good luck.

How long is too long to keep micro braids in; and is it ok to perm hair immediately after taking the

with micro briads unless your hair is really thick and strong i wouldn'tkeep them over 2months even though everyone says 3. Only because since they are so small when you style your hair you're causing a lot of tension that will cause the braids to break off mostly around your edges. Its even worse if you ha a perm before putting them in. And you should wait a day before perming it after taking them out.

How long is too long to keep micro braids in; and is it ok to perm hair immediately after taking them out?

Over 3 months would be way too long to keep them in, the weight from the braids plus the new growth is either going to pop the hair off at the root or where the braid starts therefore cause horrible ends. It would be best to wait at least 24 hours before relaxing the hair.

How long is too long to keep micro braids in; and is it ok to perm hair immediately after taking them out?

Id wait till you treated you hair before you get a perm braids can take alot out of your hair and perms are harse id use a good treatment mask to help put the moisture back in and then let your hairdresser have a look at the condition your hair is in he/she will tell you when it would be best to do the perm.

How long is too long to keep micro braids in; and is it ok to perm hair immediately after taking them out?

Micro braids is a hair style for if you going on vacation or if you just want them but my cousin in June and she taking them out in August then don't perm your hair till "72" hours thats 3 days

How long is too long to keep micro braids in; and is it ok to perm hair immediately after taking them out?

too long is when they are knotting up at the top it can break your hair off really bad. and wait about 1week before you relax your hair let it breath and air out a little bit.

Hair help please!!!!?

Hey, i am looking for someways to wear my hair. I wear it down straight, down scrunched, and in a ponytail. I really can't where braids because i have layers kinda and they stick out from the braids. I have to the center of my back, brown, layered ,thick hair. Please Help.

Thanks

Hair help please!!!!?

Low, curled pigtails are cute. Also the messy bun. Love that and Half up scrunched or straight.

For pigtails all you do is curl your hair like you would any other day and part it to the side so that the pigtails are uneven and put them in ponytail holders so your hair rests on your shoulders.

For the messy bun, don't brush your hair at all. Flip over so that your hair is in the front of your face, gather your hair and pull it into a bun (it doesn't matter if its neat or not). Use bobby pins to pin up any hair left hanging down.

For half up, scrunch or straighten hair as normal. Then pull top layer of hair back into a high ponytail.

Hope this helps! ;)

Hair help please!!!!?

Try pulling it like you were putting it in a pony tail, but instead of completely pulling it through the final step of the pony tail, twist it 1/2 way and then pull 1/2 of it through.. to where the ends stick out from the top of the "bun/ponytail"..

How can your hair Gorw faster!?

Right now i have a mini afro and my hair is starting to grow a little slower. Also I want braids!

How can your hair Gorw faster!?

Use a certain kind of shampoo. It Will make it not so poofy and you can wear braids

How can your hair Gorw faster!?

good luck!!

How can your hair Gorw faster!?

There used to be a product on the market called biohairtin, it claimed to speed up the hair growing process. I have also heard that prenatal vitamins will do this.

How can your hair Gorw faster!?

if you take prenatal vitamins, your hair will grow faster, and it's also great for your nails! :o)

How can your hair Gorw faster!?

Well your hair need attention just like u need attention. The way u give your hair attention that it need is to wash it and oil it. Don't forget to comb and brush it. The more attention you give it the more you will start to see it grow.

How can your hair Gorw faster!?

You can't, unfortunately. It grows about half an inch per month.

How can your hair Gorw faster!?

just wash it

How can your hair Gorw faster!?

1.)There is no way to make your hair grow longer. They say if you get your hair trimmed regularly, it will grow faster...It is proven that hair grows a half-inch per month, whether you cut it or not. Hair may grow slightly faster in the summer, but that has everything to do with hormones, which do speed growth a little.A monthly trim is not completely pointless though, in truth, a trim will eliminate split ends, and make hair look healthier.

2.) Rinsing your hair with ice-cold water after a shampoo will not give you shinier hair. It might wake you up, but a dousing of cold water will have no effect on the shininess of your hair.

3.)You should not excessively brush your hair, because it is actually proven to weaken hair and caused to grow slower and more frail. Brush it only to style it, because brushing pulls hairs out of their follicles and weakens individual strands.

4.)Also, your hair can't tell the difference between brands of shamoo, nor can it buildup tolerance to any product. Your favorite shampoo will work the same every time you lather up, week after week, month after month.Although, If you have very oily hair or use a sticky wax based styling products more often than not, it does pay to use a clarifying shampoo once every two weeks to wash away residue.

Damaged Hair??

My hair is ugly!! its dry and doesn't have that smooth feeling at all!! Every time i try to put my hair into a wrap its never shiny unless i use oil sheen, and its limp and sometimes it feels very heavy!! it doesn't have that normal bounce to it when i wrap it, it just like stays in one place, like if i shake my head or something.

Okay yeah my ends are split. I usually get relaxers every 6wks and they are home kits. I've done had two diffrent semi permanent hair colors added to my hair (Jazzing) and neither were comepletely removed.

The hair on the back of my head is the worst!! its like at the nape of my neck its a row of long hair and up until the middle of my head its really short like a babys hair. Then all over my head my hair is all diffreant lengths, the top is really long and the back is so short if i were to get braids you couldnt grip it.

I use to wear weave ponytails, up really high, I was told that gel brakes off the hair so i dont use it. But i think thats why

Damaged Hair??

I have a few good ways to make your hair much healthier. My hair was very dry and thin and breaking off because of a messed up dye job and after doing these everything started getting better. make sure you are eating healthy and getting exercise and protein because these will effect your hair growth. try these to make you hair look, feel, and overall be much healthier quickly. anyone will work but i find the second to be most helpful the fastest. and you can do them all as often as you wish!

1. put olive oil in your hair and cover with a shower cap. sleep with that in but make sure you have a shower cap or it will all get in your bed. put shampoo on before even getting your hair wet or it will be very hard to get out. then just wash as normal.

2. [my favorite] mix two egg yolks with two tbsp of olive oil and a cup of water. put it all through your hair and leave it in for fiftenn minutes. it will be messy so its best to do it in the tub. after the fifteen minutes rinse out in luke warm water. watch out-if the waters too hot it will cook the egg! this will be hard to get out so your going to have to shampoo at least twice!

3. when washing your hair leave your conditioner in a little bit longer than usual. maybe 5-10 minutes. its as simple as that!

4. go into a salon and get a hot oil treatment done every once and awhile. they usually are not very expensive. just call different salons and ask their prices. it does wonders for the hair.

don't forget to get the split ends trimmed! if your ends are split your hair isnt going to grow very much.

good luck!

Damaged Hair??

No one on here is going to give you a good answer to ur problem

go see a hair stylist they will give you good advice !

Damaged Hair??

Well, without seeing your hair in person it's hard to say. I can't even begin to make a recommendation! I would suggest that you stop in at a salon and have a stylist look at your hair and assess the situation. He/she can then let you know what your best course of action would be and you can decide and go from there.

BTW, gel does not necessarily break off hair, but it can contribute to dryness if it's a cheap brand and has a very high alcohol content. And from the sounds of things, you don't need anything else contributing to your dryness issues!!!

Good luck to you, I wish I could be of more assistance, but as I said it's really hard to make a recommendation like this without seeing your hair in person.

Damaged Hair??

first of all, could you include the thickness of your hair on a scale of 1-10, 1 being very thin and 10 being super thick?

next, if you use any products, hold off on them until you see any improvement.

You should also have had the hair colors removed before getting another color...

But what I do is put shampoo the size of a golden dollar into my hand, lather it well, and rinse it out.

for conditioner, only put an itty bitty squirt into your hands; the size of a dime. only condition the lower part of your hair, from the ears down.

I do this and my hair is shiny without being oily and not frizzy.

And if none of this helps, seek extra help from a professional hair care expert.

(or go to a salon... whatever works.)
