Baby hair......?

Carolsdaughter.com have products used by Jada Pinkett Smith %26amp; Mary J. Blige. Products were featured on Tyra Banks- wonderful products- very delicate for a little delicate girl. This will be your best bet- good luck! The natural products will leave such a beautiful soft curl. Check it out! Happy Holidays!

Baby hair......?

wow, cut it.

Baby hair......?

cut some of it off or take her to a barber and buzz some of it off.

Baby hair......?

first of all ur baby is gorgeous :

my mother use to just stick a cute little bow at the front side of my head

Baby hair......?

ahhhhhhhhhh shess soooo cuuutttteee!!!! koochiiii!

Baby hair......?

shes such a doll... just braid it.

Baby hair......?

It looks cute!! DON"T cut it.... bows are always good:)

Baby hair......?

Your baby is so cute!

I would put it in pigtails with cute clips, a cute little bun on the top of her head, braid it down the back ( or 2 pigtails), or make 2 pigtails and connect them in the back like a ponytail. That would look really cute!

Bella

Baby hair......?

Lmao, that thing looks so cute with the afro, and how she's so innocent.

Baby hair......?

SHE'S SOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!! OMG!!! but to answer your question just brush it down and some type of light sheen and put a nice bow in the front. My goodess ma'am your child is GORGEOUS! Or just put into small pigtails and when it grows a bun

How can i get my hair like hayley from paramore?

In the music video crushcrushcrush?!

Its sorta wavy. Does she have long layers here?

I don't want to dye my hair but I've always wanted

my hair wavy like that and I couldn't explain how i wanted it

but finally she did it and i can use her as a reference.

P.S I have sorta thick, hard to wave/curl hair. I can't scrunch it with gel, or put braids in when its wet and then take them out, it does NOT work. I've tired many many times lol.

How can i get my hair like hayley from paramore?

try using a curling iron or take a picture to your hair stylist and ask her how you can do it.

How can i get my hair like hayley from paramore?

Well it might take a while but you could straighten it then braid it.

or straighten it then scrunch it.

Good luck!

How can i get my hair like hayley from paramore?

I love that band!

But anyway,

I'd say your best bet is to get it cut. Hayley has a razor cut, in layers, I do believe.

With layers, your hair is just naturally thinner, trust me, I have layers, and I used to have impossible thick hair too, so layers are good. Then I would tease my hair (you can find videos of this on Youtube) and use a curler on the top layer for loose curls.

But I think you should try and find a picture of her hair and take it in to your stylist, and ask about how to do it and such.

Don't be afraid to ask your stylist!

Hair styling help please....?

i have medium long hair and it is dark brown almost black in color. i like to style my hair differently all the time and i have run out of ideas. do you have any suggestions on what i could do with my hair ? no cutting ideas, i don't want to cut my hair. any ideas are fine by me, i have had my whole head braided in 43 small braids before. so yeah, i dare to be different..

Hair styling help please....?

i think it'll look good if u straighten it and leave it open

that looks good

try a simple good looking style once in a while

What is the best way to maintain your hair if you work out?

I am african American so I cannot wash my hair everyday. I currently wear my hair relaxed and wear it out I dont care for braids. Is there something different that I can do while I work out so that my hair will not become so puffy and frizzy.

What is the best way to maintain your hair if you work out?

tie it in a high ponytail so it doesn't have much contact with the sweat.

What is the best way to maintain your hair if you work out?

do the pony tail and use a head wrap too. i have curly hair and the wraps help it not get so frizzy.

What is the best way to maintain your hair if you work out?

Find the right product range that suits your hair, this will not solve your problem but it will help. (oleo relax by Kerastase is very good)

What is the best way to maintain your hair if you work out?

Use a ponytail with a wrap. . . . That sure seems to cut down on the frizz.

Good luck!

I am African American with relaex hair..this summer I am going to the Bahamas...?

What is the best hair weave for my hair?

My hair is long (Falls just above my breast) and thick, but I would like it to fall just below my breast. I'm nervous about going to a stylist, b/c I know they will say "Girl, with all that hair what you want a weave for". Anyways, I wanted to know is it best to have it braided in or sewn in or what? And is human hair the best? How many packs will I need?

What is the best hair weave for my hair?

I BE DID MY OWN DIY WEEVE AT MY HOUSE I GOT MY HAIR DID WITH YARN FROM THE DOLLER STOR I JUTS SEWN IT INOT A SHJOWER CAP...OR TIYING IT ON YOUR OWN HAIR,,,I GOIT MY HAIRNDID LILE THAT

What is the best hair weave for my hair?

Try a cow row for a change.

What is the best hair weave for my hair?

why would you want to do that, if your hair is thick its going to look stupid, just wait three months and it will be that long.

What is the best hair weave for my hair?

try a cow row

What is the best hair weave for my hair?

try this:

What is the best hair weave for my hair?

i think human hair is the best but, but it sounds like u have beautifoul hair so i think u should just leave it natural;)

What is the best hair weave for my hair?

Human hair is always the best. The only way someone can give you a real answer on how many packs you will need is by seeing you in person. Go to an expert they usually use specific hair that is of very high quality that you cannot purchase. Braided they sew it it into your hair into the braid. Sewn in they put a cap on your head and sew it into that. Depends on what look you want. I have seen the cap and I really liked that look. It was beautiful. but remember it will be something on your head all the time. You will most likely get some headaches at first.

I do not do either of those tech. I do hair locs and bonding. I have seen with the braiding and cap that moisture can get trapped in and cause dry rot. So go to a professional because they will tell you everything that is right for you. Also they will have you come in for maintance so they can make sure nothing is happening to your scalp and real hair.

Also I don't think it is called a cow row. But a corn row. I don't think that is the look she is wanting.

What is the best hair weave for my hair?

Human hair is the best. Get about 4 packs.

What is the best hair weave for my hair?

inorder to sew in the weave the have to braid it in... honestly just get a wig.. u can take it off whenver you want, no one will no its a wig ... especially these days people wearin weave and all... its hard to tell... so just get a wig... after i take out my weave im gonna do that lol... i have hair and its up to my shoulders but i want a change sometimes and i want my hair to be protected and grow longer... and wigs are less expecive then weaves... i cant wait to take mine out! and let ma real hair breath lol... i dont know what type of wig i want though.. but when i go to the beauty salon ill have to see!

people think im crazy walkin in to the hair salon cause im biracial and have "good hair" and its long.. but i dont care... i get the sewn in weave (where the hair is braided underneath and they sew it in) i usually take 2 full packs.. but dont get it though, im never gonna get weave again!! too much work to put it in and it HURTS!! im gonna get a cute wig (when i feel like changin my natural hair style) and where it as an option!

with weave u dont have an option... anyways im rambelin lol good luck!

god bless!

Hairstyles for long Hair?

I have checked out a couple of websites for styles for long hair and usually it just for hair that it about mid back. I'm 5'6 and my hair is a little past my butt. I usually wear my hair down because I don't have time to fix/ style my hair in the morning.

Does anyone have any suggestions for styles besides a bun or a simple braid? I also do not use mousse or gel in my hair and rarely curl it either. Pictures of websites would be great!

Hairstyles for long Hair?

I think you should cut your hair just a little. And then you should get side swept bangs that you can manage

Hairstyles for long Hair?

WEll, the night before you go to bed, curl your hair with a large barrel iron. Then, in the morning, make a cute side ponytail, your hair wont look as long, but it will look totally cute. Oh, and try a low ponytail, not like a really high one, you want the ponytail holder to touch your neck.

ummmm. maybe if you cut it a little bit, you could put it in a few braids after a shower, before you go to bed to make it wavier, if it isnt already. make sure they are tight, not too loose. take the braids out when you wake up, and part it on the side. thats what i do, at least..... it looks pretty cute!

African American Natural Hair Care?

Does anyone in the Dallas metroplex know of a natural hair care salon. I'm not looking to wear micro braids or weave. I would like to find a professional stylist that can take me through the transitioning period.

thank you

African American Natural Hair Care?

i dont know of any places

i stopped getting relaxers in 7th grade and i didnt have no help me transisition to natural, it can be hard because your hair can start to break where the natural hair and relaxed hair meets, keep getting your ends trimmed or you can just go for the big chop off!!!

what i did was use a product called stay soft fro, on the bottle it looks like sta.sof.fro or somethinf like the kind that is for extra dry hair comes in a brown bottle. it can be a lil drippy, but it is great for natural hair, my hair was so soft, people assumed my hair was dry because it was natural, my hair felt like cotton, it is a very good leave in conditioner, and it made the relaxed parts of my hair look less straight, so it blended in a lil more

having natural hair says so many things about us black women, people see us as being bold and having courage because we actually decided to have the guts to go "nappy" as they would say lol i hate that word. but until you get all your permed hair cut out u might wanna try maybe flat ironing your hair if u want. i flat iron my hair since i dont get relaxers, if u wanna know of a good flat iron email me, the website is folica.com u can look at all kinds of flat irons and they had this thing where it says top 10b best flat irons, the #1 was a 1 1/2 inch sedu it had the best ratings and everything, im gonna put a pic on there like everyone else, but it costs about 125, it works the best i have tried so many i mean my hair even moves like a white girls lol, that is how straight i get it.

but good luck goin natural email me if u like!!!!!

Did Alicia Keys change her hair completely?

Does she even wear braids anymore? All I've seen is permed/relaxed hair?

Did Alicia Keys change her hair completely?

Alicia wears her hair all kinds of ways and always looks gorgeous!

Did Alicia Keys change her hair completely?

No she just changed her hair style. I personally like the more grown up hair style instead of braids.

Who keeps up with Alicia Keyes hair styles I mean really!? Like that would be like trying to keep track of the amount of babies are born in a America each day.. Lol, celebrities change there hair style so often its ridiculous..

i noticed that to, she either relaxed it or flat ironed it. although she looks beautiful, we need more sisters to rock the natural look. it makes you stand out a little more, when you go natural.

How can I get wavy hair without using products bought at the store?

I just want a quick way to get wavy hair in the morning. I don't like sleeping on braids or buns, and I dislike using products in my hair. (however, if there is a REALLY good product I would love to know about it)

Is there any other alternative?

How can I get wavy hair without using products bought at the store?

take a shower before you go to bed put a little gel in wet hair and comb through, then braid it. Go to sleep and in the morning blow-dry any wet parts add a little mouse and viola beautiful, naturall waves

How can I get wavy hair without using products bought at the store?

well im sorry but u cant avoid using products if ur gonna be that stubborn... lol

the BEST way is to (in the morning) get ur hair wet all over (not dripping but wet) and put mousse in it. put ur head upside down and scrunch all ur hair with the mousse. then rub gel in your hands and put ur head upside down again and scrunch more. VOILA! by the time you get to school or work ur hair will be dry and wavy!!

How can I get wavy hair without using products bought at the store?

try Garnier Fructis SURF HAIR- Texture Paste Matte Effect. Use it with a bit of water and your hair will look perfect.

For :African women with long relaxed hair?

Pls read all of the question before answering.what can i do to grow my hair till my back i have relaxed thick hair any tips will be truly appreciated i don't want to braid ,weave, put extension or wig .I just want my hair to grow fast without any of this mentioned above also how can i stop breakage my hair does not have equal length .It's short in the sides and in the middle.Pls help!!What's your hair secret?

For :African women with long relaxed hair?

I am going to be honest...I have tried some of everything and the best has been to do nothing at all!!! Well when I say nothing I mean keep the heat out of your hair. Every Saturday night or day I will wash and condition my hair(it doesn't hair to be a deep conditioner but something that gives your hair some moisture)...I wrap my hair and let it air dry. Once it is dry I will flat iron it really well(no oil just yet not til it totally smooth)...after that I put a light hair on my scalp. If I'm not going anywhere I will put on rollers or just wrap it and go to bed. The key is the less you do to it the more it grows. Make your daily hair routine simple!!!! Be Blessed!!!!

For :African women with long relaxed hair?

my mom always say that if tying ur hair everyday it will make ur hair grow more faster, and u know what?? it works...

now my hair is longer and more healthy than b4...

just make sure u wash ur hair everyday and tie ur hair when ur hair is dry....

and also used a proper shampoo...

pantene is always the best

let me know the result k

For :African women with long relaxed hair?

Try conditioning you hair with hair cholestrol whenever you wash and let it sit on your hair for about 10 minutes with plastic cap. Try using a product called Dr. Miracles. It really does work if you use it properly. Grease your scalp after shampoo/condition and again at least twice a week. The key to keeping your hair from breaking is to make sure it keeps moisture and it will grow and stop breakage.

For :African women with long relaxed hair?

Wash your hair frequently at least twice a week, I know this sounds really crazy but it really works. That is the biggest problem with African American women and hair and no one ever believes me when I tell them. Also cut out petroleum based products will make a huge difference, they just clog your pores and make it hard for your hair to grow instead try and cream moisturizer. Make sure you are using a really good Shampoo. Mostly all shampoos that you can purchase at a Salon are great like Matrix or Biosilk for the regular drug store try Sunsilk or Panteen, Dove is good too just make sure you are using one for Dry hair because our hair craves moisture. Use a very heavy conditioner like cholesterol, I like the one with Shae Butter. Do not use a blow dryer, let your hair air dry natural or invest in a hooded dryer. KEEP YOUR ENDS TRIMMED your hair will never grow if you don't do that and cut down on heat from flat irons and curling irons if you do use them make sure you use a heat Protecting spray before you apply the heat. This really does work, I started doing all this at the end of last summer my hair was short maybe to the bottom of my earlobe now it's to my shoulders and it never sheds or breaks like it used to. It's growing longer then I like it so I trim it to a manageable length for me but most important it's very healthy!

For :African women with long relaxed hair?

I know that a couple of your answerers are saying use Pantene, but that is the biggest NONO for African American hair. It has too much alcohol for our hair, even the Relaxed and Natural Line which is "formulated" for our hair. My husband is a dermatologist, and that is the thing that he and the rest of the doctors in his office stress to their African American patients who suffer from hair loss.

Three years ago, I was looking to grow out my hair. It was VERY short, like Nia Long's on the Fresh Prince. It is currently at mid back and healthier than ever before. This is what I do every week, and have had great results:

1. Shampoo hair with Mizani Puriphying Shampoo or Mizani Botanifying Shampoo, depending on your needs (I like to rotate them weekly). Rinse thoroughly and towel blot.

2. Mix half a pack of Hask Henna %26amp; Placenta with the same amount of Essations Positive Charged Conditioner. Cover head with a plastic cap and sit under a warm dryer or heating cap for 10 minutes. Take off cap and sit under dryer fr an additional 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with tepid water and towel dry.

3. Apply a tiny amount of leave-in conditioner (I prefer Jonathon Gloss Creme, but KeraCare works great as well) and a dime size amount of Mizani Thermastrength. Then wrap your hair (or roller set it) with a conditioning wrap foam. I like KeraCare's Foam Wrap Set lotion.

4. If my hair is roller set, proceed to step 6. Otherwise, I flat iron it next (I don't have a relaxer anymore, so I need to straighten and curl my hair) with my FHI iron, but any ceramic iron will do. If you need to flat iron your hair, first apply a flat iron spray. I use Shine and Smooth Straighten Iron Spray by LaCoupe or BBD Flat Ironing Silkening Lotion.

5. apply a little Mizani Silkening and curling wax and curl hair, if needed.

6. apply a little mizani spradiance high gloss serum.

I trim my hair monthly, I wrap my hair every night in a satin scarf and every three night or so, I put a little Mizani Nighttime Intense Treatment on my hair.

I drink at least 64 ounces of water a day. And I take a vitamin every day, as well as a supplement formulated for hair skin and nails. My hair looks great. My sister has a relaxer, and hair is just as healthy with the same products, and almost as long.

This formula of products is moisturizing and provides the extra protein healthy hair needs. The only other thing I would suggest is that one week a month, just get a roller or straw set instead of the extra heat. Watch your hair grow.

For :African women with long relaxed hair?

I had the same problem. my hair was short enough in the broken areas that it looked stupid no matter what i did to it. I found a great stylist who does a curly perm instead of a straight one. Instead of the usual way of straightening out the hair first w/chemical and then using chemicals again to make the curls, she skips the first step and just curls it. My hair is so soft all the time because I don't use any heat on it and half the time I just condition it and don't need shampoo. i use leave in conditoner and curlling lotion.. I would of never considered this but my hair is the healthiest it has ever been and actually moves when i move my head..

For :African women with long relaxed hair?

Try Skin Hair Nails vitamins. Try to get you hair trimmed lightly every few months. At least when you get a touch up.

I have a reoccurring breaking point in my crown area because I was anemic for many years and it's annoying because I have to try to blend it in and eventually get it trimmed to blend better in that spot.

Use shampoos like Creme of Nature and Patene for Women of color. Keep your hair soft and moisturized.

Getting your hair shaped into a style is the best bet for those uneven pieces, but note that the vitamins take a few months to work, but the condition of the hair does improve in time.

I find if you exercise or dance regularly or live in a hot humid place like Florida, you hair will grow like a weed.

For :African women with long relaxed hair?

okay for one your not drinking enough water and then remember whatever you put in your mouth comes out on your hair and since you said you use relaxers relaxers is drying your hair out also do not i reapeat do not wash your hair everyday you need the nutriets that your body produse and the get a trim every 4 weeks and among everything else stop using so much heat and stop stressing!!!! when you condition your hair rinse with cool water to close the cuticle and pantene sucks!!!!!!!!!! it has too much alcohol i it whatever shampoo and conditioner you do decide to se make sure alcohol is in the miccle or bottom of the ingredients well one shampoo that is goo is extreme by redken it is in a blue container and you can only get it in a salon

How do you get the pills that grow your hair?

I don't know how to get qualified, but i have short damaged hair, and i want to ask my dermatoligist if i can get the pills that grow your hair. i asked my mom and she said, she asked and was denied, but my dermatoligist told me that i have a scalp disease that cause me to have damaged hair and it will only keep breaking off, especially in braids, and i were them all the time cause my hairs is so short. i don't know if that will qualify me for the pill, but i really want that pill.

How do you get the pills that grow your hair?

Try takin vitamin E pills it helps hair grow.

How do you get the pills that grow your hair?

be very careful getting pills that grow hair... it could trigger hair to grow everywhere.. even in places you dont want it.

How do you get the pills that grow your hair?

I think i had what you have. My hair is alot better now. The derm will give you a special sampoo. I got my stylist to use it and treat my hair each time I went to get my hair done. After about a year my hair was back to normal. But if you want a pill you need to get your scalp treated first, then check out a health food store.

How do you get the pills that grow your hair?

I totaly agree with hamc322 Vitamine E works wonders

My hair was taken out on the sides from micro braids how do i grow it back?

Put one hand on each side of your head and push real hard for about two weeks and you will start to see new hair come out.

If that don't work then take two asprin and try the question again in 3 more weeks.

My hair was taken out on the sides from micro braids how do i grow it back?

NAH...I don't think so...miracle grow the grease

My hair was taken out on the sides from micro braids how do i grow it back?

It will grow back

My hair was taken out on the sides from micro braids how do i grow it back?

is the hair on yo poon?

My hair was taken out on the sides from micro braids how do i grow it back?

no more braids!!!!!!!!!!

My hair was taken out on the sides from micro braids how do i grow it back?

Okay, start washing your hair twice a week, no more braids, grease it daily, use no heat on it, and don't play with it too much. This all should have your hair growing back healthy soon.

My hair was taken out on the sides from micro braids how do i grow it back?

i don;t know... i know what you are talking about tho, lotz of ppl with little braids have fuzz on the sides of their head where tha hair was pulled out :-(

My hair was taken out on the sides from micro braids how do i grow it back?

Gurl, that has happened to me before. All you do is make sure to put grease on it...take a break from braids....get a wrap or something ...anything that will allow your hair to flow...give it time, it will be back.

My hair was taken out on the sides from micro braids how do i grow it back?

It sounds like you are talking about 'traction alopecia'. Basically it is when the constant tension on your hair follicles pulls your hair out. Depending on how long you have been wearing your hair in micro braids, your hair may or may not grow back.

First, stop wearing hair styles that pull on or damage the hairline: No microbraids, relaxers, ponytails, etc. This way you stop doing the damage and give the hair a chance to grow back. If after a couple months of this you don't see any regrowth, you may consider seeing a dermatologist.

As for what to do about your hair in the meantime, here's a great book to read: 'Good Hair: For Colored Girls Who've Considered Weaves When the Chemicals Became Too Ruff' by Lonnice Brittenum Bonner.

My hair was taken out on the sides from micro braids how do i grow it back?

I don't know if many people do it anymore or not, but call around to salons or beauty schools and see if they offer "High Frequency Treatments". When I was in beauty school, we had a high frequency machine, and it emitted negative ions that helped to tone, and stimulate the scalp. There were a few girls who had the same situation, and they used it in the bald places once a week and it wasn't long before it was filling in very nicely.

If you can't find anyone who offers that service, you can also try using Nioxin Follicle Booster and also The Treatment. They help to stimulate the micro circulation to the papilla where the hair grows. If the papilla has lots of oxygen and nutrients from the blood, it will fill in faster. Using the two together will give you the best results. One is the fertilizer and the other helps the fertilizer to penetrate deeper. Ive seen people with alopecia and also cancer patients and their hair grew in very quickly.

My hair was taken out on the sides from micro braids how do i grow it back?

u dont u no not 2 do micros u better use tracks dey grew my hair

My hair was taken out on the sides from micro braids how do i grow it back?

I had that same problem and I used Organic Root Stimulator! It really helped my hair grow back in the thinning places. You should also stay away from the Micros for a LONG time if you want your healthy hair back. Also Try some deep conditioners and Hot Oil Treatments a few times a month. Organic Root Stimulator has an array of products and the company is black owned so they really know what they are doing.

Should i go 4 short hair?

Short hair for a women is hard, unless you are classic beauty it is really hard, because all of a women's flaws show, there is no hiding, IF you are a model looking women and have high cheek bones, and I hate to say it thin, then yea it is really hot

but if you are a normal looking women, and I and not saying bad things about normal women, most of them are much better looking then they think, then dont do it

If you want to try then wait for the summer so you can be cooler

good luck, watch a women do it and keep it, and she didn't get asked out as much

Should i go 4 short hair?

It can be scary to go for short if you never have. I remember the first time I did it, I was terrified!! But I am ultimately glad I did. Now I know that I look good with both.

Make sure that you go to a stylist that you trust. Someone who knows how to cut your type of hair and is used to giving short hair cuts.

Short hair can be a lot of fun. Once you do it, you'll realize how many different ways you can style it. It's easier, too. A lot of times you only have to wash and go out the door.

I hope you go ahead with it and enjoy it.

Don't listen to people who say short hair isn't sexy. Sexy is relative.

Should i go 4 short hair?

It depends on the shape of your face. Ask the person doing your hair if the style he/she's doing will compliment your face. I'm not really a hair expert I just know that this is true. Maybe it's time for a change.

Should i go 4 short hair?

go ahead n try short hair!If u don't like it,hair always grows back pretty fast, don't worry

How do I transition successfully without losing all of my hair in the process? Advice/tips.?

I've been transitioning to natural hair since February. I've never had trouble with breakage, but my hair was usually fragile after I permed it (during my perming days). It would take a few days for it to recover, but the fragileness was always there. As a protective style to help me transition, I did single braids last month. But before I did it, I washed my hair a day before and while washing it, I noticed it coming out a lot (this has never happened before). So I single braided it to get it out of my way and covered up. I took the braids out a few days ago and even though I got my mom to trim a good chunk of my hair before washing it, I still had a lot of breakage then too. So I just need advice on what I should do to transition successfully w/o losing all of my hair in the process. I've come a long way already and don't want to go back to perming. How often should I do protein treatments and what are good products to use? How about deep conditioning, moisturizing? Thanks.

How do I transition successfully without losing all of my hair in the process? Advice/tips.?

I've found that when I don't wash my hair every day AND wear my hair up/back, it doesn't allow the normal daily shedding of hair that you probably wouldn't notice. That's why I'd see a bunch more hair come out when I'd shampoo and condition in the shower. I think it's perfectly normal. We all shed hair every day and when it's "confined" by a braid or hair-tie, it's hard for the scalp to let the hair fall out naturally.

How do I transition successfully without losing all of my hair in the process? Advice/tips.?

You do not want to risk losing all your hair, if you are experiencing ALOT of hair loss go see your doctor and pay a visit to a good hair salon so that they can see the condition of your hair and recommend something that will stop the breakage as well as prevent more breakage, we can not see the condition of your hair so we can not really recommend what to do or use. it could be one of many things causing this problem

How do I transition successfully without losing all of my hair in the process? Advice/tips.?

You seem to have a good routine going. As long as the braids are not done tightly. Your hair may just be trying to recover from the damage and is quite fraile. If you continue to have breakage, then you may want to see a dermatologist, it may be your scalp.

sounds as if you have elasticity problems. first hair is at its most fragile state when wet. never brush then use a large tooth comb and start from the bottom. go easy do not pull at it. let it dry before braiding it less pressure on the shafts.trim it every 4 weeks use leave in conditioners everyone looses about 100 hairs a day this is normal shedding.you can over protein your hair it will go from bad to good to DRY AND BRITTLE really fast. just keep conditioning and trimming away the old perms

Have a set of bangs cut into your hair. Thats a nice change. If you dont like it, let it grow out.

Pull up your hair in a high ponytail to the right or left side of your head. Then put ponytail holders the whole way down your ponytail. There you go!

--- this works better if you have longer %26amp; thicker hair and it looks better when the ponytail is straightened.

I'm bored with my hair i ne...?

What about going to Icing or some place that sells cute hair accesories. Is it long enought to french braid? What about twisting it into little ringlets at the base of the scalp and putting clips on it to secure, then curling the ends? Also you can try some new styling products that might add some glitter or colored gel that only lasts til you wash it? Just a few ideas !

Good treatments for my hair?

I'm black however my hair has loose curls and it's right above my chest.it's thin but has a lot of volume and I mostly keep it in braids, also using too much heat is terrible for my hair . I want a different and more mature look.I can't get a perm my hair will fall out and I am a person mixed with different races .I just want to know what i can do to my hair to change my look without damange.

Good treatments for my hair?

A very intense treatment is the Aphogee line. I used to wear braids about 10 months out of the year so my hair is a great length like yours, the best thing to do is have your dead ends clipped, I know, I hate to lose any of the length but the reality is it brings your hair to life. It may look thin to you know but when the dead ends come off and isn't weighting it down your hair will spring to life because all you are left with is the healthy hair so when you go back to braids you are growing healthy hair and won't need to clip again for a while. With aphogee, it stinks to high heaven, smells like eggs but you wash you hair, put it on then get under the dryer, it will get ROCK HARD as it dries, rinse it out then you use the Aphogee moisturizer ALWAYS RIGHT AFTER THAT TREATMENT. Immediately you will feel how much thicker each strand is. It changes the structure of the hair for six weeks. After that use Root Stimulator hair mayonaise, cover and let sit for as long as you like and then rinse. Your hair will be so so soft you wont' be able to stop touching it. I use cream of nature shampoo and conditioner, you can feel the softness in the lather, also makes hair really soft. I only perm my hair about 1 or 2 times a year because now that I have grown it out, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO KEEP IT STYLED. Spoiled to sew in weaves and braids but Aphogee will reverse any damage that has come from any abuse you have gone through with your hair. Rinse it really well because if you don't, it will feel hard after you finish and it dries. Try washing the aphogee out, use the moisturizer (they usually come in sets) the wash with creme of nature products. You can buy a tiny size just to try it and if you like it buy the big bottle then you have it on hand for future use. You will be amazed. when I took my sew in out and saw how long my hair had gotten, I didn't want ANY of it cut but when she trimmed it, the only difference I saw was lively healthy hair. If you look at your hair and see that the strands are thicker then thin on the ends, that's the problem, they need to go. The give you more lenght but they will only make your healthy hair look sick. Try the aphogee, feel free to email me and let me know how it works for you. I don't know if you use oil but I use Wild Growth oil only available at Sally's. It smells too BUT when your hair is wet, put a little in your hands rub it together and through your hair and it detangles it and gives you moisture (if your hair is more African American). It costs about 8 bucks.

Hope this helps

hmm, mabye you just need to get a fresh look, have you considered just a cute, fresh cut?

I need a new hair style!!?

get your hair layered, a curly/wavy perm (but those cost kinda a lot), or an inverted bob (that's what rihanna's hair cut is right now and i think it's cute). you could also look through those magazine's that have a bunch of celebrities and their hair cuts, maybe you would find a hair cut in there that you like.

My hair is driving me crazy what do I do???

I don't want a perm or relaxer...but my hair is very hard to deal with I get it braided sometimes and usually wear it in a ponytail but it's really getting irritating doing the same hairstyle everyday..now i'm only 14..but I want something different any suggestions would be very much appreciated thanks...Maria:}

My hair is driving me crazy what do I do???

I got bored with my hair and went and got it cut and styled. Look around school and where you go everyday and just see the other hair styles. Is there one you really like? Do you want to copy one of them? It's your creative license, have fun with your hair.

My hair is driving me crazy what do I do???

cut it all off and start over

My hair is driving me crazy what do I do???

get layers, and maybe sum highlights :) its a difference but nothing too dramatic :)

My hair is driving me crazy what do I do???

shave it off

are you a britney fan?

My hair is driving me crazy what do I do???

is your hair naturally straight, or what?

mine's naturally straight and i do a plether of things with it. some days, i'll leave it straight, or pin my bangs back. i wear it in high ponytails, low ponytails, i leave it wet and scrunch it and it looks pretty cute. i curl it under (all the way up to my scalp) and it provides very nice curls! and sometimes i put ringlets in it. always a good touch!

My hair is driving me crazy what do I do???

you could shave it that would be different and at the same time you could be raise awareness of cancer

My hair is driving me crazy what do I do???

hey maria you should buy another type of shampoo maybe that would help.

My hair is driving me crazy what do I do???

look at seventeen.com or in their magazine they have so many ideas in there

My hair is driving me crazy what do I do???

Straighten it, i have the same problem, so just straighten it and you can leave it down! Its sooo easy!!!

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

I want to make my hair wavy, but I don't know how. What do you think is the best way? I saw that people say to use salt water, but do you use it when your hair is dry or wet? %26amp;%26amp; I know you can also braid it or put it in a bun. Do you know a way to make your hair wavy where it looks like its naturally wavy? Any suggestions? Thank you! =]

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

Salt water is your best ''Natural look'' to achieve this use a spray bottle to mix about 8oz h2o to 1tbs kosher salt spray in hair all over as even as possible when damp them you have to work..... take hair in fairly large but not to large of section twists with fingers and blow dry each twist for best results remember the smaller the section the tighter the wave.Good luck

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

when your hair is wet your mousse...i like thermasilk the best....and scrunch it! you can do this while blow drying or letting it air dry!

finish with hairspray for extra hold and tadaa!

hope i helped

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

While your hair is damp, braid it then put it in a bun. It's better if you sleep on it. Then let it loose in the morning when it's dry, and just tease it a little with your fingers. don't brush it! Put a little hair spray to set.

Don't do it too often though, it's not too healthy.

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

Towel dry your hair, flip it upside down and put volumizing mousse in it. Then scrunch it with a little gel.

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

You can have beautiful mermaid waves by towel-drying your hair and putting in mousse from the roots to the ends and braiding it. make sure to separate the individual braids the way you want the waves to dry(meaning, don't use just two braids with a center part, as when it dries, you will have a big straight section in the middle of the back of your head) i would make two braids on each front side, 2 on each back side and 2 for the back. make them as tight as you can for best results and braid all the way down to the ends. secure with braiding hair ties(tinier and rubber or plastic). let it air dry. don't sleep on it or blow dry it or you will get fuzzies.

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

After taking a bath, dry up your hair until its damp then put a little bit of moose on your hair then create a loose braid (depending on how loose or how tight you want the curls on your hair) on the portions of your hair then leave it after an hour or longer then spray a spray net for a strong hold.

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

I think the best way to get best-looking wavy hair is.... crossing your hair and tie it at the end. to get fine curl, cross a little amount of hair each time; for bigger wave, just make it 4-5 bunch. Spray some moose or stylling gel on it. Left for a few hours or over night for the best result(at least 6-9 hours depends on individuals' hair structure).

For me, I prefer big wave. In the morning, I will tie my hair into a bun and go to class. If I were to go out at night, I'll let it down, spray a little amount of water on it and apply some soft styling gel on it using only my hand and fingers. That gives me a real sexy big wave...

:) Hope you will like it..

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

you can use a crimping iron

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

For Healthy and Shiny hair

It is better to apply castor oil for a healthy growth of hair.

Wash hair with tea once in a week.

Apply besan in the hair and wash it with water drained from the cooked rice.

Soak a handful of gooseberry in a cup of milk for two hours. Make it as a paste and apply in the hair. (more and more)

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

Back in the 1940s, they would make 'pin-curls': women would wet down their hair and twist sections into curls, then pin down. The tighter the twist, the tighter the curl. They'd do this before they went to bed and in the morning would have waves or curls! You can do the same thing today, except instead of just wetting and twisting your hair, use a setting lotion to help maintain the wave throughout the next day.

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

Problem: limp, wilted locks (if you want it wavy)

1) Blow-dry with your head upside down and mist with hair spray for volume before flipping up

2) Fake beach-day hair! Add one tsp salt to a hair spray bottle filled with water and spritz into your roots for height, or throughout hair for waves. The mixture adds texture to hair, just like an after an ocean dip!

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

use Pantene Pro-V Curl Defining Gel. scrunch it into your hair and it'll make 'em POP =D

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

tresimay, tresimay oo lala!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

use mousse(or other curling products) when your hair is damp and scrunch it ith a towel, finish off with a finishing spray such as hair spray.

or you could maybe get a perm

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

after you get out of the shower put in some kind of hair gel and then use your hands to scrunch up your hair

How can you make your straight hair wavy without using a curler?

If you french braid your hair, as close to your front, and tiny, as possible, and do it wet until dry. I guarantee it will be wavy. It works on my hair for a couple days. I have baby fine, super straight, down to my waist hair. it's hard to get anything like this to work for very long...but the braid has it.

PLEASE....Help me with my african hair!!!?

I am currently sick of wearing braids and i want to wear my own God given hair but the problem is I haven't got the best hair in the world. I see some black hair that flows with the wind and go back down after the wind has stopped blowing, unlike mine that just stays up there, it never falls back down. When i get it done at the salon it looks good but after a wk or so it looks like i haven't relaxed it in awhile. After i finish washing my hair, it feels dry and heavy. I use motions conditioner and am guessing it's not good for me. I have been researching products but i am confused with the massive products out there and i don't know which to use. I am begging for help, i also wanna grow out my hair this year. All am asking for are tips on how to maintain my hair, keep it flowing and smooth, and what products i should use. I will really appreciate very thoughful answers. THANKS!!!

PLEASE....Help me with my african hair!!!?

Here, first I want to show you a link of my hair. It was past bra strap length, I cut it Jan 07, and it's already grown back to my bra strap. But I am very WARY of taking advice about hair when I can't see the hair of the person so:

http://fiu.facebook.com/album.php?aid=20...

Here you go, that's all mine.

Now:

You should roller set your hair every week. Roller setting your hair distributes low heat over a long time when underneath a dryer. I cannot stress the importance of roller setting to have and keep healthy hair.

Shampoo with a protein shampoo (I use Redken Extreme shampoo) because relaxing robs hair of protein.

Then deep condition (I order Mizani's Hydrafuse online bc they don't sell it to the public, just to the salons AND I mix it with KeraCare Humecto) for about 5-15 minutes UNDER THE DRYER. This is very important, the heat opens up your cuticles. Wash it out with cool water to close it. Relaxing dries out your hair.

Your hair needs a healthy balance of protein and moisture.

After that use a leave-in conditioner. I use KeraCare Leave-In, it is very concentrated so you don't have to use much and it is very, very good at protecting your hair against heat and other damaging factors including sun, wind, etc. I also use Nexxus' leave in conditioner called Luxxtress. It replenishes moisture AND has a bit of protein in it.

I use Design Essentials setting lotion, it is incredible for roller sets for me. So I have two leave in conditioners and a setting lotion in my freshly moisturized (deep conditioner, leave in conditioner) and strengthened (with the protein shampoo and part Luxxtress) hair. My hair is protected and happy.

You don't have to use only ONE brand's products. As you can see, I have mixed it up till I found the perfect matches for my hair.

When I take it out my curls are shiny and bouncy and full. I go to the salon bc I can't roller set my own hair but I can roller set other people's lol. You wouldn't believe the looks my hair gets. People always ask me if it's my own and I proudly say yes. After you take out your roller set, wrap your hair. When you take it down it will be straight with a slight curl underneath and it will flow and you can do the wind thing you wanna do ;)

Wrap your hair at night with a silk scarf, it's so important to keeping your hair moisturized. Use a silk/satin pillowcase just in case your wrap falls out.

I know that money doesn't grow on trees but I promise if you invest your money on high-quality hair products, your hair will thank you.

You might also need a trim or cut because may have split ends. ONLY trim if you have split ends, other than that you have no reason to trim your hair every time you go get a relaxer or roller set your hair.

Also, you can start trying taking supplements. I used to use GNC's Ultranourishair, Biotin, and MSM. All these things are good for your hair. HOWEVER, if after 3 months you don't see improvement (and I mean look at your roots) then stop taking them. Some people don't metabolize synthetic vitamins as well as others, that's why you see some people swear by them and some don't. They help maximize your own hair growth POTENTIAL along with a good diet. They worked for me but I became too lazy.

I think this covers it all but you can always ask for more, I love to help people with relaxed hair! A lot of people hate on us and say we should go natural but there is such thing as healthy relaxed hair that you can grow long and thick as I have!

PLEASE....Help me with my african hair!!!?

You know, I have seen many black women with really pretty short cuts like the one Hallie Berry used to have. It looks easy to take care of and classy. I know you want to grow it out, but you said it isn't the best hair in the world, so growing it out may not be the best way to go. This will also mean less time in the bathroom, less products to buy and more time for other things.

PLEASE....Help me with my african hair!!!?

Congrats on your decision to go natural! It's gonna be a long journey, but it's gonna be worth it. I'm sure your hair's beautiful, no matter what the texture. Depending on your texture, it probably won't be "flowing and smooth" but that comes with the territory of being natural. Treat your hair like fine silk and stay away from heat, as hard as that might be. Good luck, and remember, it's just hair!!!

I definitely have the answers to all your trouble..sit back this will be long. I discovered this about 3 months ago and now my hair flows in the wind and is so weightless and healthy. And no i do not have a relaxer i stopped getting them 5 years ago ( and i've only have 3 relaxers in my life time so this is all natural) it amazes me.

1. The shampoo, unfortunately many black women are using shampoos with alcohol and petroleum jelly. step away from them. Use Aveda's shampoo.. specifically the name is Brilliant...go to the website. I use it, i love it, it mouisterizes my hair and the products are natural. i have also heard that KeraCare is good.

2. Okay, step two condition it and then it is time to comb it out, Do not use a brush on you hair when it is wet,,it will hate you for it then break off in revenge.

3. Do a hot oil treatment atleast once a month with extra virgin olive oil...repeat..EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil..not the regular stuff. unfortunately i have yet to take this step however my hair is doing great.

4. Okay on the daily basis you need to pay close attention to your hair...i recommend conditioning your scalp and your ends so that they will not get dry and unhealthy

Petroleum jellly and mineral oil are weapons of mass destruction,,it does so much harm to your hair it cannot be all explained here. So you ask what do I use...well natural oils

jojoba oi, extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, emu oil, coconut oil...all these natural oils and more love you..i promise.

5. Next,,if you want your hair straight but still be natural it is time to get a freakin good flat iron.,i have the Chi..it does the job but I recommend getting the Sedu because of the good reviews. make sure to protect your hair..i have so thermal protector from Aveda.

6. Eat healthy, drink lots of water,

7. take multivitamins, and fish oil pills you can get from GNC.

Follow these steps and life will be good..the best part about flat iron (which i do once a week or every two weeks not everday since it will kill your hair) is that it is not stringy but thick and healthy, yet straight and light enough to blow in the wind.

How to deal with the knee length hair for a date?

my mum is 45 years old and she is single.Next week she will have a date with a very good guy that makes her very happy. My mum is 170cm tall and not fat.All the problem is her hair. She has been growing the hair for decades years and it is almost down to her knees. How to deal the hair for the date?A huge bun , a ponytail,a braid,or just hanging down?which is more attractive?By the way ,long skirt(to her ankle)or shorter skirt (may be to he knee or shorter)is more suitble for my mum's age and the hair style?

How to deal with the knee length hair for a date?

i would go witha messy bun, and a knee length skirt. i think it would make her look younger and make her seem like she has a lot of fun. it also would keep all that hair away from her face.

How to deal with the knee length hair for a date?

Get it cut and styled, keep it long but not that long. My hair is comes just under my bra line and that gets on my bfs nerves.

How to deal with the knee length hair for a date?

Braid and put around her head kinda like a halo

How to deal with the knee length hair for a date?

Some Good (and pretty!!!) ideas for your mum!!!

-messy (or not messy) bun

-pig-tails (low)

-braids (low)

-a simple side ponytail

- a high ponytail

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!

(i'd personally go with the side ponytail. that way she can show off her beautiful hair but still keep it under control.

:)

How to deal with the knee length hair for a date?

A braid or a ponytail would be the best way to keep the hair neat looking and out of the way. If she has really thick hair, a beautiful thick braid would look great.

How to deal with the knee length hair for a date?

how can she like her hair like that..that's just gross...she needs a hair cut..bad...

Black hair care?

last year around this time i choose to stop putting chemicals in my hair( like perms) and go natural. well i couldnt stand watching my permed hair fall out while i was going natural so i been getting micro braids for a year. everytime i take them out i let my hair breathe for about two weeks and then get them put back in. my hair is out of briads right now its. its pretty healthy but its just as short as it was when i had a perm in my hair( but 100% natural). i thought it would be longer by now. im dissappointed. i want long hair. i been pressing and hot combing it for a week but i just want some tips to achieve longer hair because the short look isnt working for me

Black hair care?

Garnier Fructis its AMAZING FOR LAVISHLY LONG LOCKS

Black hair care?

My best friend has this problem. Some womans hair just doesn't grow fast. I would get extensions. I would if I hated my hair

Black hair care?

You need 2 go to the salon and get the proper treatment for your hair such as hot oil treatments, your ends trimmed as needed %26amp; washing/a deep conditioner will definitly help. Putting heat on you hair will damage it pretty bad and will need to be cut if you continue to do it.

Black hair care?

i like my hair short because it is easier to take care of enough about me. have you trimmed your hair lately because that helps new growth how long has your hair been maybe that is as long as your hair well grow for me is shoulder length i think hair has a limit. but let hair breath from hot comb because that can be damaging too.

Black hair care?

It's only been a year, give it a minute. Different people grow hair at different speeds. My relaxer fell all at once (after microbraids) a year and a half ago, and it's only just now down to my collar bones. My sister did the big chop over a year ago, and it still isn't long. Relax, everyone's hair takes time to grow.

Black hair care?

get ya hair trimmed and treated at a salon and let someone keep it braided-no micros-braided back in a bun

Black hair care?

having those tight braids maybe breaking your hair off

Black hair care?

sometimes braids can break your hair out. i did the same thing and i found that not putting braids in my hair helped it grow a little faster. if you have any relaxer in your hair, i would cut that off. going natural does take time and required dedication. i would wash it and do a deep conditioner at least once a week. good luck with this and hopefully you get the hair you want. i can relate because like i said i am in the same situation. have a good one....

Black hair care?

Several years ago, I transitioned from relaxed hair to natural hair by wearing braids, twists and occasionally I would blow-dry my hair wear a pony-tail. The key to growing your hair is to treat it with a lot of care. Our hair is fragile anyway but when you have two different textures on 1 strand (relaxed with natural roots) it is even more fragile.

Deep condition twice a month, keep your ends trimmed, use minimal heat and don't wear tight braids or micro braids. My individual braids were never micros. I also ate a balanced diet and to biotin.

You can't use the same products on your natural hair that you used on your permed hair so, you have to educate yourself on what products to look for and what ingredients to stay away from.

There's a lot of good info on growing out relaxers here:

http://www.nappturality.com/index.php

There's even a forum for people transitioning out of relaxers.

Here try these sites , I promise you will find some help on them, they are dedicated to the health , and growth of african-american hair. There are forums which discuss products used, and their results, also, how to maintain your hair while no longer relaxing. Breakage, weaves etc .here are some links that are sure to help you.

Also read the section on The Carmel Treatment great for those who wish to prolong the length they go between relaxing, or for those with natural hair

Travel hair problem?

Basically, I have really bushy, crazy, curly/wavy hair. I either straighten it, or put mousse in it to keep it under control. This summer, I'm traveling out of the country and I have to pack light (no check-in baggage). So I don't have room for a straightener and I can't take liquids in my carry-on bag. My hair is really long, so without these items, I can always braid it or put it in a messy bun. But then I didn't want to have to deal with my long hair on the trip, like having to bring a bunch a shampoo and everything, so I was thinking of cutting my hair short. However, short hair might be even worse because I won't have any hair styles or products to keep it under control either. Plus, I won't be able to buy any hair products where I'm going. Any suggestions?

Travel hair problem?

- I would suggest getting some hair cut off, but not super short. Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sodium laureth sulfate or anything close to that). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone are examples). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

- Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Use a towel or paper towels to gently scrunch some of the water out. Then let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Do not touch the hair while it is air drying or it will frizz!

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Desert Essence Organics Italian Red Grape Conditioner (found at health food/organic stores). The combo of products that I use daily is L'Oreal Out of Bed Weightless Texturizer (comes in a black-colored tub) and then Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Gel but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

Travel hair problem?

Just keep it like it is and put it in a quick ponytail or something. What's the problem? Don't cut it short cos that might take longer to do.

Travel hair problem?

I tie mine up and go. I'm on vacation, who cares!!

Travel hair problem?

When you get to wear you are traveling, get it permed there ar get it permed before. or you can even go to the solon and ask them to wash your hair,(deep condition) and they can put rollers in it, then go into the dryer. When your done in the dryer, and you take out your rollers your hair will come out beautiful. It lasts long too.

Travel hair problem?

NEVER CUT IT SHORT. It took me three years to grow mine back again! Just do it up in a ponytail and bring an affro comb and a vent brush to make it easy to 'style'.

Travel hair problem?

With short hair, you have to fuss with it too much! With long hair you just have to shampoo, condition, and put gel in it and scrunch it up real good. Let it air dry That is really easy.

Travel hair problem?

Just wondering, where are you going?

Travel hair problem?

Go to an upscale salon for a consultation and they will tell you what to do. Don't cut your hair, just have it trimmed and conditioned, and wear it natural. You may be upset if you cut your hair. They can teach you to put it in a nice looking bun if it's hot where you are going on your trip. Let the salon straighten your hair before you leave or when you return. Buy your shampoo at your destination from an upscale salon. You must keep your hair clean. Just enjoy your vacation and have fun.
