what is wrong with hair down , anyway ? I have long hair,down to waist,kind of straight %26amp; thick,but my mom doesn't like when it's "flying" all over as she says, it's messy ,and blahhblahh....she wont let me have bangs !! even at home she's trying to make me wear this stupid headband,just to look "neat"...she's only 100 % happy when it's in a ponytail ,braided,or bun,etc,or 2 french braids that 's all she'd like to do with my hair !!!

my mom loves to put my hair in a braid.

And i hate it when she does. but it makes

her happy. she probably doesn't want you

to have bangs because when parents say

"get your hair out of your face so we can

See you pretty eyes" they mean it. every

once and awhile i ask my mom to put

two braids in just to make her happy.

its just your mom's own preference.....tell her you like it down and that you would like to wear it like that if its okay with her.....be nice and if she still says no than respect her wishes when u are around her.

it's probably just because your hair is so long. I understand where she's coming from, but it's not her choice. it's your's. you can do whatever you want with your hair since it's on YOUR head. just tell her that.

By the way, long hair is cool, but down to your waist is too long. I suggest get is cut to your semi-mid back.

im not the only one. i put my hair inmy face to drive my mom nuts on purpose because she hates it when my hairs in my face.

hahaha, every time my hair hangs in front of my face my mums like "it looks so much better when you tuck it behind your ears and have it off your face" you have my mum!!!!!

OMG! same way! my mom HATES MY HAIR DOWN! i like it that way! EVERY SINGLE MORNING she goes " PUT YOUR HAIR UP... yada yada yada!

It sounds like your mother comes from a conservative up bringing when it was proper to wear your hair back or up most of the time. Ask her about it and tell her that you would like to find a style that you can both Agree or compromise on, Maybe that will help!
