How can I get my hair wavey like this?

I highly doubt they're made with braids because I tryed and first of all, in the picture (before I cropped out just a section... (hahaha I ran across this picture on myspace so I didnt want to post the picture with out permission)) But they go all the way up to the scalp, hard to do with braids....

I think that sort of folding small damp pieces like bow ties and pinning them till dry would do it. Kinda of like pin curls. sorry it is hard to describe.

when your hair is damp use a wave mousse and let it air dry

take a shower before you go to bed and braid it while its still wet so it drys overnight in the braid and then in the morning it should be like wavy

take a shower, and before your hair completely drys, scrunch it with some herbal essence scrunching gel. you could straighten the bangs to give it that cool laid back look, but let the rest dry wavy
